The Greer Amps Thunderbolt30 is our take on a classic sound. Blending early "AC" type, "JTM" type, and M*tchl*ss type tones, this amp is a great sounding amplifier. The Thunderbolt 30 is used by players in every genre, from jazz and blues, to rock, to country. This amplifier features a pair of EL34 tubes, cathode biased, in Class A mode, two 12AX7 tubes in the preamp, and a 5AR4 rectifier tube. The front control surface of the amplifier has two inputs, input 1 is higher gain, with more snap and bite, input 2 has a more rounded, softer midrange to it, with a little less gain, and more "polite" tonal range. The two inputs are not a typical "padded" input setup, but two different channels. Pick one, and rock the house! The Greer Amps Thunderbolt 30 uses custom Mercury Magnetics transformers (Output transformer has 8 and 16 ohm speaker outs), and the highest quality components.
Thunderbolt30 GEN2 features a new logo, some small circuit tweaks that Nick has always wanted to include (it still has that awesome TBOLT tone, though!), and a combination of Heyboer and Mercury Magnetics transformers that are custom wound for Greer Amps.
